Removing Wrinkles:
Steam (Safest Option): use a handheld steamer or hang the fabric in a steamy bathroom; keep steamer at least 1-2 inches away from fabric and gently tug on the edges to smooth it while steaming.
Iron (With Caution): use low-heat synthetic setting and place a press cloth (like a cotton sheet or towel) over the cloth; never tough iron directly to fabric and keep iron moving, no resting on one spot.
Weighted Stretching (Passive Method): hang vertically and use light weights (like clips with small weights) on the bottom edge; let gravity and time relax wrinkles - may take several hours to overnight.
Avoid: No bleach, fabric softeners, or harsh cleaners. No dryers or high heat as these break down coatings and fibers. Avoid ironing directly on the cloth surface.
Cleaning Information:
Fabric is treated with fire retardant. Spot clean with warm water and a mild dish soap.
Shake off dirt/debris: do this outdoors and use a soft brush to remove loose dirt.
Hand wash: gently agitate and let it soak for 15-30 minutes; use a soft sponge or cloth to lightly scrub stains.
Rinse thoroughly: rinse wiht clean, cold water until no soap residue remains.
Dry Naturally: lay flat or hang in a shaded, well-ventilated area; avoid dryers and direct sunlight as UV degrades the material over time.
Warranty Information:
Chimera warrants the Flat Panel Frame Kit to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and craftsmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase. This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
What Is Covered:
- Defects in materials or workmanship in the aluminum
frame components and connectors.
- Manufacturing-related flaws in stitching, seams, or
assembly of the included fabric rags (black/white reversible sailcloth).
- Hardware or accessory failures caused by poor
craftsmanship.
What Is Not Covered:
- Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to:
-Cuts, punctures, abrasions, or fraying caused by handling or external contact.
- Stains, discoloration, or mildew caused by exposure to moisture, chemicals, or other environmental conditions.
- Overstretching, shrinking, or deformation of fabric due to improper setup, storage, or use.
- Damage resulting from abuse, misuse, neglect,modification, or improper assembly.
- Use of the kit in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.
Additional Terms:
- Chimera reserves the right to inspect the product and determine whether any claimed defect falls under warranty coverage.
- If a valid warranty claim is approved, Chimera will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective component.
- Shipping charges to and from Chimera for warranty evaluation or repair are the responsibility of thecustomer, unless otherwise agreed.
