“It’s more than a vendor-customer relationship,” says Airstar-Light’s David Mohen. “Our products are a bit different than traditional lighting equipment and we appreciate Matthews always trying to customize standard products to fit our eccentricities.” It started with small accessories, then stands, and then fabric and other unique Matthews gear for film, special events and even the construction market. “Bob and Ed understand the constraints of our products and activities. Even though we are a small business, when necessary, they spend time to create or adapt existing products even with the small quantities we can sell. “When we began rigging the inaugural, we needed standard stands and clamps. I was relieved to see that our main rigging vendors were using Matthews gear. New tools for our gear. Just one more quality Matthews product that I can say is a must, when anyone wants to rig our products on trusses.”
